The brains behind Hello Brolly

Hi, my name is Karen Lee Turner and I am a 3rd generation retailer.

My grandfather established the family's clothing business in 1928 on a stall in Bolton Market Hall, and the business grew over the years to have outlets on many of the permanent markets around the North West of England.

My parents continued to run the business until 2005, at which point I decided to branch out on my own, and created Hello Brolly which I run with my own Mr. T, my husband, Damian.

I hope you like what I do, and please e-mail me to let me know what you think of the site and the products on offer. If there is a particular item you're after, that you can't find on the website, please let me know as I may be able to find it for you.
Thanks

Karen Lee

This is the umbrella that started it all, it's such a good brolly that I still use it almost 10 years later.

Why did I start Hello Brolly?

Well one day in 2003 I saw a brolly that mesmerized me (in Rhodes of all places). It was 2 or 3 times the amount I would normally pay for an umbrella (which at the time wasn't much, but I didn't know any better, then).
I just had to have it, the quality was so much better than the cheapo brollies that I usually bought, and it just looked good, and was a bit quirky (like me).
It started my love of umbrellas, and my change in career to becoming the owner of Hello Brolly.

Since starting my business in 2005 I have, as you would expect, collected quite a number of umbrellas for my personal use.
I have big'uns, little'uns, odd-shaped, colourful, plain, frilly, fashionable, long and short. My only criteria, they have to be a good quality umbrella, and I use that same standard for all the umbrellas that I sell.
